Marianna Pease
Marianna Pease is the author of two books, Pandemic Mom: Meditations on New Motherhood During The Pandemic and During Divorce and My Year(s) in the Woods: Notes on Healing, Worth & Finding Home Again (Pink Ink Press).
She writes the blog 1-800 Marianna on Substack and lives in the woods with her daughter, rescue whippet and backyard chickens. She is currently working on a new memoir, My First Rodeo forthcoming in Fall 2026 from Pink Ink Press.
She runs the Boston Writer's Salon at The Sea Hag in Harvard Square. She lives in a black, Barbie-dream-house-style home tucked into the woods, complete with a 22-inch disco ball hanging in the living room. There, she hosts authors at her beloved gathering space, lovingly named, “The Disco Barn.”

She is a New Yorker, retired hellraiser, and recovering middle school English teacher. Her writing lives at the intersection of love, ambition, bad decisions, and the quiet, insistent voice that tells you there has to be more.
