MEET YOUR PUBLISHER
Cara Alwill
Long before I founded Pink Ink Press, I was a woman who desperately wanted to get her words out into the world. I dreamed of one day holding my book in my hands. I imagined signing that book, hoping my story might make just one woman feel a little less alone.
I know what it's like to wonder if your story is worth telling. To chase traditional publishers. To self-publish. To finally be "chosen" by a major publisher, only to discover it wasn't the fairytale I'd imagined. To build a platform from scratch. To experience rejection, success, and everything in between—and ultimately realize that the magic was never in someone else's approval. It was in the work itself.
Over the past fifteen years, I've published ten books that have been translated into ten languages, sold more than 300,000 copies worldwide, built a community of millions through my podcast, Substack, and online platforms, and had the privilege of helping thousands of women believe that their stories matter.
I created the publishing house I had been searching for as an author.
A house built by women, for women. A place where sisterhood, collaboration, and creative courage reign supreme. Where women can tell the truth, break ceilings, retain ownership of their work, and bring meaningful stories into the world without bending to the mainstream.
Pink Ink is more than a publishing imprint.
It's a place to cultivate your literary life.
Because your book is just the beginning. Together, we build the platform, the community, the body of work, and the legacy that grows from it.

WHY I CREATED PINK INK PRESS
I believe publishing should feel like a partnership, not a lucky break. Bringing a book into the world should be collaborative, empowering, and rooted in trust—not gatekeeping.
I believe authors deserve to own their work. Your words, your ideas, your voice, and every penny of your royalties should remain yours.
I believe a book should do more than sit on a shelf. It should become the foundation for a career—opening doors to speaking opportunities, community, collaborations, new ventures, and a body of work that continues to grow long after publication.
Most of all, I believe women who tell the truth change the world.
That's why Pink Ink exists.
