THE PINK INK

AUTHOR EXPERIENCE

What makes Pink Ink Different?

Most publishing companies help you publish a book.

Pink Ink helps you build a literary life.

Founded by bestselling author Cara Alwill, Pink Ink Press was created to offer women the publishing experience so many of us were searching for but couldn't find. One that is rooted in creative ownership, meaningful collaboration, and genuine community.

When you publish with Pink Ink, you aren't simply hiring a team. You're joining a literary ecosystem designed to support your growth long after your book enters the world.

bUILT BY WOMEN.

PUBLISHED WITH PURPOSE.

Pink Ink is a publishing house created by women, for women.

From editorial development and creative direction to design, strategy, and community, our books are guided by women who understand the courage it takes to tell the truth and trust your own voice.

Every project is approached with care, collaboration, and a deep respect for the author's vision. We believe women deserve a publishing experience that honors their work, protects their ownership, and empowers them to build something meaningful from their stories.

Because the future of publishing isn't asking for permission.

It's women building the table together.

PHASE l

Editorial Development

Your manuscript already has a strong foundation, a compelling framework, and a clear voice.

Our focus will be on elevating and strengthening the work to ensure it reaches its fullest potential while preserving the integrity of your vision.

This phase includes:

  • Comprehensive manuscript review by Cara Alwill and Lead Editor Zara Barrie

  • Developmental editing and editorial guidance

  • Structural recommendations and refinement

  • Story, theme, and reader experience analysis

  • Positioning recommendations to strengthen marketability and impact

  • Ongoing editorial support throughout the revision process

  • Final manuscript review prior to publication

Our goal is not to change your voice.

Our goal is to help the strongest version of your book emerge.

While Pink Ink is not a paid advertising agency and does not directly manage advertising campaigns, we provide strategic guidance and trusted referrals when additional marketing support is desired.

PHASE V

The Pink Ink Community

One of the most valuable aspects of publishing with Pink Ink is the community itself.

Our authors are not published in isolation. We believe in collaboration over competition, and our imprint is truly a sisterhood of creative women who come together to celebrate one another.Every Pink Ink book receives hands-on creative oversight from our team.

As a Pink Ink author, you will receive access to:

  • Monthly Pink Ink Author Salons

  • Private author mastermind-style conversations

  • Literary gatherings and events

  • Collaboration opportunities with fellow Pink Ink authors

  • Ongoing support and connection long after publication

We believe books are built through community, and that some of the most meaningful opportunities emerge through powerful relationships.

Beyond the Book

One of the things I am most passionate about is helping authors think beyond publication and into possibility.

While book sales and royalties are certainly important, the greatest value of a book often extends far beyond the copies sold. A well-positioned book can become the foundation for speaking engagements, workshops, retreats, community-building, consulting opportunities, partnerships, media appearances, future books, and thought leadership within your industry.

In many cases, the book itself becomes the credibility piece that opens doors.

My role is not simply to help you publish a book. It is to help you think strategically about how that book fits into your larger body of work, your platform, and the opportunities you want to create in the years ahead.

The most successful authors understand that a book is rarely the end product. It is often the catalyst for everything that comes next.

WHY PINK INK
